Country music superstar Kenny Chesney is showcasing Maui in his latest video.

The single, “Wild Child,” celebrates a woman's free spirit. “It is a song about any woman so hungry to engage life, she spends her days trying to taste it all," says Chesney. "You don't have to be a gypsy to be a free spirit, but just someone so in love with life, you will never get enough. To see a woman like that is a pretty amazing thing.”

The nearly four minute video shows 'the majesty of the Hawaii' that most people never see. Directed by Shaun Silva, the Maui 'wild child' is an actual Maui resident.

Gretchen Rhodes is a singer/songwriter and a good friend of the country star. In the video you see Rhodes skateboarding, surfing, horseback riding, hiking, basically living life on the valley isle.

"I truly feel like a blessed person right now. Kenny Chesney asked me to be in his latest music video "Wild Child". Shooting this video was seriously one of the best experiences of my life!," said Rhodes. "We filmed in some of the most beautiful places on Maui. Places that I had never seen before and I've lived here for 10 years!" added Rhodes.

“I was writing ‘Wild Child' with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, and it just clicked,” Chesney explains. “Certain songs start a creative landslide, and that was it. The idea of writing about a girl who is so hungry to see the world, she's scared she won't taste it all before she's done... who loves so hard, but can't be tied down... that put everything into place.”

Joined by Grace Potter on the track, “Wild Child” was the most added song at country radio this week. The video also does Maui proud.
