Flood Advisory expires for Maui, Kahoolawe

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory for the island of Maui and the island of Kahoolawe in Maui County until 10:30 p.m.

At 7:24 p.m., radar showed heavy rain near Nuu, or about 23 miles southeast of Kahului. The area of heavy rain was nearly stationary.

The advisory is for most of the eastern Two-thirds of Maui. Including Hana, Hamoa and Hookipa Beach Park.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 10:30 p.m. if heavy rain persists.
