HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man who went on a wild rampage at Sandy Beach Park Thursday is now behind bars, Honolulu police said.
Police arrested 27-year-old Carlos Gutierrez after the incident happened at around 11 a.m. He's accused of driving a SUV onto the beach and firing several gunshots, assaulting beachgoers and busting out the window of another vehicle.
Witnesses said they believe Gutierrez was high on drugs and went crazy.
He has been arrested for assault, criminal property damage and promotion of detrimental drugs. He has not yet been charged.
