Marine Corps Community Services will host the dirtiest race of the year, Saturday, Feb. 7 at 7 a.m. The five-mile Swamp Romp will consist of various obstacles including mud pits, water holes, a beach run, low crawls and climbing walls.
The individual and five or six-person team event is open to the general public. The Swamp Romp Health, Fitness and Wellness Expo will be held Friday, Feb. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Semper Fit Center on MCB Hawaii.
All military members, family members, and civilians are welcome to both events. The expo will feature an array of booths offering products, services and workshops geared toward healthy living. Media is invited to cover the Health, Fitness and Wellness Expo, Friday and the Swamp Romp, Saturday.
Please contact SSgt. Matthew Orr by 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5 for an escort from the H-3 gate to the events ONLINE registration closes Thursday, Feb. 5 at 4pm. Walk-in at MCBH closes Friday, Feb. 6 at 6 pm and there will be no onsite registration day of event.
