Maui police seek Longs armed robbery suspect

KULA, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The Maui Police Department is searching for a gunman who robbed Longs Drugs on Kiopaa Street on Monday.

Police said the suspect walked to the pharmacy section of the store just before 8:30 p.m. and jumped over the counter into the pharmaceutical dispensing area. The man then pulled out a black handgun and pointed the weapon at the pharmacists, demanding Oxycodone.

The pharmacist did not resist and the suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of Oxycodone. He then fled the store on foot in an unknown area.

The suspect is described as around 5'5" and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He was seen wearing a dark hooded long-sleeve sweater with a logo on the top left chest area, a brown baseball cap, camouflage shorts, camouflage bandana around his face, sunglasses and a pair of dark athletic shorts.
