Pests on the move

Being so isolated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Hawaii naturally has a very delicate ecosystem. Introduction of invasive species, such as the coffee berry borer, feral pigs, fire ants and mongoose, have had significant impacts on not only the environment, but on our economy as well.

Michael Botha, Associate Certified Entomologist and President of Sandwich Isle Pest Solutions spoke with Steve Uyehara about what the community can do to help control the spread of these invasive species.
