Wallace remains hospitalized Wallace remains hospitalized
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Former Hawaii basketball coach Riley Wallace remains at a Las Vegas hospital as he continues to recover from a severe stroke suffered Monday night, according to a source close to the situation.

The 73-year-old is showing signs of improvement, but there's a long road ahead for him.

We're told he is lucid and can hear, however, he's unable to speak and has lost feeling in his right hand.

It's the second time in a matter of weeks Wallace has had a stroke.

He suffered a minor one in November at the Maui Invitational.

Wallace led the Rainbow Warriors for two decades until retiring at the end of the 2006-07 season.

We'll continue to provide updates as they become available.
