Big Island police seek suspects in murder case

HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police have opened a murder investigation after a man died Tuesday from stab wounds.

Authorities said he was stabbed near a drug store in Hilo at around 4 p.m., but managed to walk to the parking lot where he was found.

He was taken to the Hilo Medical Center where he later died.

Police are searching for two suspects in the case. The two men may have run north along Kilauea Avenue toward Hamakua, according to detectives. One man is described as 6 feet tall, weighing around 160 pounds, with short blond hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing knee-length shorts and a white t-shirt. Police said the other suspect was wearing a white tank top and glasses.
