Man dies following paragliding crash

The paraglider who died after falling 50 feet at Kaena Point has been identified as Clayton Butler from Salt Lake City, Utah. The Medical Examiner's Office said the 30-year-old died of blunt force injuries to his torso.

A man died after suffering critical injuries from a paragliding accident near Kaena Point.

Officials say a man believed to be in his 30s was paragliding when he fell about 50 feet. A spokesperson for Emergency Medical Services says the man was awake when bystanders reached him, but soon became unresponsive.

Paramedics performed CPR before taking him to a local hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries, according to Honolulu police.
