YouTube video captures harrowing moments of 193-vehicle pileup

BATTLE CREEK, MI (AP/ FOX Carolina) -

Cell phone video that shows several crashes and the start of recovery efforts in what became a 193-vehicle pileup on Interstate 94 in Michigan is taking YouTube by storm.

The video posted on Friday had already amassed more than a million views.

The video shows vehicles slamming into one another as witnesses begin to try to help people out of their cars.

One person died in the crash and about two dozen were hospitalized.

All lanes had reopened by Sunday, after crews safely removed acid from a tanker truck that was involved in the pileup.
