HILO, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - A gruesome Big Island case that was once considered 'cold' is now 'closed' after Alexander Gambsky pleaded 'no contest' to manslaughter Wednesday.

Gambsky was arrested five years after his wife, Dawn Gambsky, was reported missing.

In 2008, investigators found her remains buried on the couple's property at 37th Avenue in Orchidland Estates but it wasn't until 2013 that police and prosecutors revisited the case and Gambsky was indicted.

He will be sentenced on March 4th.  He could get 20 years in prison.
