Firefighters respond to house fire in Portlock

PORTLOCK, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

More than 20 firefighters battled a house fire on Poipu Drive on Tuesday in which nearly 75 percent of the property was engulfed in flames, the Honolulu Fire Department said.

Firefighters were dispatched at around 6:05 a.m. and arrived on scene 10 minutes later. They managed to get the blaze under control by 6:30 a.m.

There were no reports of any injuries, but HFD is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

Police closed off Poipu Drive, between Pilaa Place and Anahola Street, but reopened it at around 9:50 a.m.
