KIHEI, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

After delivering presents all night for the good boys and girls around the globe, Santa granted one last wish this morning on Maui. Jolly Old Saint Nick shaved his iconic white hair in honor of Trucker Dukes, a 20-month-old child battling neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer.

Trucker was taken to the hospital in November, where a large tumor was found growing throughout his abdomen. A few days later, he was diagnosed with the fatal disease.

Ever since, support in Trucker's fight has been overwhelming not only on Maui, or just in the islands, but across the nation.

Trucker's dad, who is a member of the Maui Fire Department, immediately drew the support of his fellow fire fighters on the Valley Isle. But when the Dukes story traveled to the mainland well wishes immediately poured in.

To continue to bring awareness to the disease and a little boy's fight against it, Trucker's parents, siblings and the Maui Fire Department shaved their heads bald. Hairless heads are a sign of strength and solidarity for Trucker as he loses his own hair through stages of chemotherapy.

Now the man who grants the wishlists of deserving children worldwide wants to lend a hand, or better yet, some hair. Santa Claus couldn't find a cure, but he did the next best thing: He shed his locks to help spread the word about Trucker. Members of the Kihei Fire Station were granted the honor shaving Santa.

Trucker was resting when the haircut occurred but the rest of the Dukes watched the snipping via FaceTime. Santa hopes his shiny dome will put a smile on Trucker's face.
