A Flood Advisory remains in effect until 12:45 a.m. for northern portions of Kauai.

The National Weather Service said at 9:42 p.m., radar showed periods of moderate to heavy showers developing over the north-facing slopes of Kauai. Stream gages showed that water levels remained high from earlier heavy rainfall.

Kuhio Highway in Hanalei has been reopened to traffic, but ponding continues on many north shore roadways. Water remains high in Manoa stream near Haena Beach Park.

Other locations in the advisory area include but are not limited to Haena, Wainiha, Kokee, Waimea Canyon, as well as Na Pali State Park, including Hanakapiai, Hanakoa and Kalalau Valleys.

The advisory may be extended if heavy rain persists.
