Forecasters extend Flood Advisory for Kauai

The National Weather Service has extended a Flood Advisory for parts of Kauai until 6:45 p.m.

At 3:36 p.m., radar indicated moderate to heavy rainfall across the northern half of Kauai.

Occasional moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to continue into the evening hours, which will cause slow but steady rises on area streams.

Other locations in the advisory include but are not limited to Haena, Wainiha, Na Pali State Park, Kalalau Valley. Princeville, Hanalei, Kokee State Park, Kilauea, and Anahola. 

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for Kauai until 6 p.m. Wednesday. 

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 6:45 p.m. if Heavy Rain persists.
