[Original story]

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Maui County on Tuesday.

At approximately 6:15 a.m., radar showed light to moderate showers along the north and east slopes of Haleakala. Additional rainfall could lead to flash flooding, forecasters said.

This Flash Flood Warning replaces the Flood Advisory that was in effect for the island of Maui in Maui County. This warning may need to be extended if heavy rain persists.
