HANALEI, KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Ocean Safety officials are advising no swimming at all North Shore beaches due to hazardous ocean conditions, including high surf, strong shore breaks and dangerous currents. Wave heights are expected to be in the 20-25 foot range today.

The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Warning for all north and west-facing shores of Kaua‘i and Ni‘ihau until 6 p.m. this evening. The warning may be extended or modified as conditions develop.

Officials recommend beachgoers utilize Poipu and Salt Bond Beach Parks today.
