DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - Many say another man's trash is another man's treasure. For one Dothan family the saying took on a whole new meaning after a recent trip to the thrift store. What they purchased now has them searching for answers and the owner.

It was the Second Chance Thrift Shop on Reeves Street where 15-year-old Joshua Scott says a little brown bear caught the attention of his sisters. Paying no more than $5 dollars they took the bear home. After nearly a month something very shocking was discovered inside. Joshua says one night while holding the bear he felt something hard inside and when he unzipped the back of the bear he found a small urn.

Scott's mother Samantha has posted on Facebook and has even taken the urn to an area funeral home in hopes of someone being able to identify it, but has been unsuccessful this far.

The manager at Second Chance Thrift Store tells WSFA 12 News they receive between 3 and 10 car fulls of donations daily and don't keep a record of who gives what.
