Police seek help finding missing elderly man

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public's help in locating James Takamoto, who suffers from Dementia. This is the second time that Takamoto has been missing in five days.    

He walked away from his doctor's office located on South King Street at about 12:15 p.m., on December 9, 2014.

Takamoto resides in the Aina Haina area and may not be able to find his way home on his own. His family and friends are very concerned for his safety and well-being.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on your cellular phone.

Police say James Takamoto was located behind Aina Haina Elementary at approximately 2:45 p.m., and is safe.

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in locating James Takamoto, who was last seen on December 4, at approximately 1 a.m., at his home in Aina Haina.

Takamoto suffers from Dementia and is familiar with the Aina Haina Shopping Center and the surrounding parks.

Police provided the following description of Takamoto:

Race: Japanese
Age: 84
Height: 5'5”
Weight: 135 lbs.
Hair: Gray
Eyes: Brown
Clothing: White t-shirt, gray flannel pants
