HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Oahu Dines is a benefit for Life Foundation, a local organization dedicated to fighting AIDS in Hawaii and the Pacific. In honor of World AIDS Day on Monday, December 1, 2014, participating restaurants will donate a portion of their proceeds from that day to support Life Foundation's work and promote HIV/AIDS awareness in Hawaii. Currently, 19 restaurants are signed on to participate.
Life Foundation provides free services to more than 700 men, women, children, and transgenders living with HIV/AIDS on Oahu while offering thousands of free HIV testing and education to the community.
Starwood Hotels and Resorts Hawaii is heading up this event with its 13 dining options on their Sheraton Waikiki, Royal Hawaiian, Moana Surfrider, and Princess Kaiulani properties. These restaurants include: RumFire, Hapas Pizza, The Edge of Waikiki, Kai Market, Azure Restaurant, Surf Lanai, Mai Tai Bar, bin1901, The Beachhouse, The Veranda, The Beach Bar, Pikake Terrace, and Splash Bar & Bento. In addition 6 other Oahu restaurants, Nagomi Teppan, Pizza Corner, Kaka'ako Kitchen, Koko Head Café, and Fresh Café locations in Downtown and Kaka'ako have signed up supportive restaurants.
Throughout the month of December, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Hawaii continues Oahu Dines with their Table #53 You Dine, We Donate Program! When you call and reserve Table #53 at any of their participating restaurants the net proceeds from all food and beverage will be donated to Honolulu AIDS Walk and Life Foundation. This promotion is limited to the first seating exclusive at 5:30pm dinner service. First come, first serve and reservations are highly recommended to take part in this wonderful opportunity!
