OCCC work furlough escapee back in custody

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police arrested an Oahu Community Correctional Center work furlough inmate after he didn't return from work Friday morning.

Department of Public Safety authorities say 36-year-old Albert Ching was supposed to return to OCCC at 1:30 a.m. Friday, but failed to do so. Police located Ching around 7:30 a.m. on 738 Hoawa St., and took him back to OCCC.

Ching was arrested for second-degree escape.
