HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
As airport officials gear up for Thanksgiving weekend, one of the busiest travel weekends of the year, they're reminding travelers of modified and limited parking at the Honolulu International Airport.
The Hawaii Department of Transportation Airports Division urges travelers to use the international parking structure – or Lot A – instead of the overseas parking structure – Lot D – due to construction. Drivers can access the structure from the ground or top levels of the interisland parking structure.
Those who wish to park in the overseas parking structure will only be able to access it from the upper level due to construction. The first through fourth floors of the east side and first floor of the west side of the overseas parking structure will be closed. The fifth floor will remain available for employees only.
Construction is related to HDOT's airport modernization and improvement project.
