A strong earthquake shook parts of Indonesia Wednesday, but it was not strong enough to generate a tsunami threat to Hawaii, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
The quake was measured at a magnitude of 7.0, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake -- which struck near Halmahera, Indonesia -- happened at approximately 4:35 a.m. HST.
