Suspect in UH indecent exposure incidents Suspect in UH indecent exposure incidents
MANOA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The UH Manoa Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in connection with recent indecent exposure incidents.

UH campus security says that the person is believed to have committed several indecent exposure acts over the past three weeks.

All three incidents happened on lower campus near the Athletics Complex.

The most recent occurrence was reported on Saturday around 10:00 a.m. near the athletic fields. Before that was on Wednesday just after 4:00 p.m. near Ching Field.  And the incident before that was on November 3rd, around 8:30 a.m., near the Physical Education/Athletics Complex.

In all three incidents, the man was seen fondling himself.

"There's times when it's late at night and I have to come back from the study center and I'm by myself and I have to walk home, so that is kind of concerning especially if it's late at night and I'm alone," said student athlete Lindsey Wabs.

"We always take these things very very seriously because we want to ensure both...that they don't continue happening and that they don't escalate to more risky behavior," said Sarah Rice with the school's Department of Public Safety.

Students are advised to travel in pairs, especially at night or in remote areas. Plus, security officers are available to escort students seven days a week, from dusk until dawn.

If you know the identity of this person of interest, please call UHM DPS at (808) 956-6911 immediately.

The male suspect is described as:
  • Ethnicity: Caucasian
  • Hair: Brown-blonde, short, wavy
  • Weight: 120-140 lbs.
  • Height: 5'4” – 5'6”
  • Build: Slim
  • Age: Early 20's
  • Clothing: Blue jeans, dark blue short-sleeved dress shirt
  • Facial hair: mustache, beard
  • Other distinguishing characteristics: Sunglasses
