Ko Olina's 16th Annual Thanksgiving Outreach provides 4000 meals
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Oahu's largest holiday outreach program helped serve hungry residents on the Leeward side of the island.
For the sixteenth year, Ko Olina's Thanksgiving Outreach provided full thanksgiving meals to those who won't be able to have a feast on the actual holiday.
4,000 holiday meals including turkey, gravy, stuffing, pie and more were distributed by Leeward Community College students. Ko Olina chefs helped serve sides and desserts to the grateful and appreciative Leeward community members.
This event, which started in 1999 with just 1000 meals, will continue as UPS drivers deliver the rest of the prepared dishes to 14 other locations on Oahu, including: Waianae, Maili, Nanakuli, Kapolei, Ewa Beach, Waipahu, and Pearl City.
