Mililani holds on against Punahou for D1 crown; Iolani takes D2 title

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - In a wild, high-scoring affair, the Mililani Trojans outlasted the Punahou Buffanblu, 53-45, to win the 2014 HHSAA Division I state football title.

Trojans quarterback McKenzie Milton threw 7 touchdowns to lead the school to its first state championship.

With the win, Mililani ends the year at 13-0, while Punahou is 8-1.

In the division two bracket, the Iolani Raiders blew past the Lahainaluna Lunas, 31-14, to claim the school's first title since 2012.

It is also Iolani's eighth overall title.

The Raiders end the year at 8-3, while Lahainaluna is 10-1.
