EXCLUSIVE: Security guard impersonating cop, pulls over cop

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Update: The company says the guard accused of this no longer works for them.  A spokesman says the guard actually was let go before this incident because he didn't have a valid guard card.  The off-duty officer reported that the guard flashed some kind of badge or patch.

A security guard with Phoenix Security Hawaii is accused of impersonating a police officer.

The guard was driving a Dodge Charger near the airport on November 8, at about 9 o'clock at night.

Police sources say he flashed a badge or patch and pulled over a driver.

Turns out, the driver, was an off-duty, Honolulu Police Sergeant.

The guard has not been charged, but the department is investigating to see if he has done this to other drivers.
