Missing Makawao woman returns home, safe

A Makawao woman reported missing last week has been found safe, according to Maui Police. Mary Rose Charrete-O'Brien returned home on Saturday in good health.

Police released the following statement:

Mary Rose Charrete-O'Brien returned home in good health. Charrete-O'Brien spoke to the Detective and said that she had some personal issues she needed to rectify before returning home.

Maui police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing Makawao woman.

Police say Mary Rose Charrete-O'Brien was reported missing after she didn't return home Monday, November, 10.

She was last seen, in the Lahaina area, near the Cannery Mall, around 9 a.m. She was wearing a long sleeve white shirt and beige Caprice.

O'Brien, 31, is described as a Caucasian female, 5'6, 140 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of a fly on her right shoulder, a tribal tattoo on her chest and a mermaid on her right hip.

O'Brien resides in Makawao town.
