Kauai's own, Danny Fuller won his first event in his 15 year career by capturing the HIC pro title.
With the victory, the 32-year-old Fuller now qualifies for the Vans Triple Crown which gets underway this Wednesday in Haleiwa. Fred Patacchia placed second, third was defending HIC PRO champion Mason Ho; and in fourth place, Maui's Billy Kemper.
Fuller's win was not only a great moment career-wise, it was also a sentimental victory which he dedicated to his mother who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year as well as his wife and daughter.
