HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaiian Word of the Day is Keawa'ahua. A parcel of land located on the slopes of the Manoa and Palolo valley border, Keawa'ahua is the site of the old Woodlawn Dairy and Stock Company. In 1897, the Woodlawn Dairy, along with several other local dairies began a co-op of farmers which became the Honolulu Dairymen's Association Limited, creating the largest dairy in Honolulu. In 1953, the Dairymen's association became Meadow Gold Dairy. The Hawaiian Word of the Day is Keawa'ahua.
