HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Diane Frances Ohana Foundation was born out of the love Joyce Allen shared for her sister, Diane Frances. Frances fought a courageous battle against her breast cancer diagnosis. As a single mother of two, she always led by a positive example to embrace life, no matter what challenges she faced.
After losing her battle against breast cancer, Frances inspired Allen to create this foundation to preserve her legacy, which has become the foundation's mission statement: "Life, Love, Eternity - Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness - Helping single mothers with Stage IV MBC in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York and Hawaii."
