HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - More than a dozen police cars lined the H-1 Airport Viaduct early Tuesday following a traffic incident that left a man in his early 20s in extremely critical condition after he was found lying on the road.
Police said the victim, who was the passenger, jumped out of the moving pickup truck after having an argument with the driver. He may have been drinking earlier, according to police. The victim was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.
Honolulu police closed three eastbound lanes on the Viaduct before the Middle Street/Dillingham Boulvard exit at around 3:30 a.m. Traffic was diverted to the Nimitz exit. All lanes were reopened at approximately 5:30 a.m.
