Halloween Forecast: Will our weather be a Trick or a Treat?
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Will the weather provide “tricks” or “treats” for our Halloween festivities tonight? Our Halloween spooktacular skies will take over as the sun sets at 5:55 PM. Tonight's forecast calls for ghosts 'n goblins and little monsters to come out at night. We are expecting *on and off* showers due to a weakening front that is located to our north and these showers are caught in our trade wind flow (which is bringing us periods of rain). We have a 50% chance for showers from Kauai to Maui County and drier skies over most of Hawaii Island with the exception of rain falling over the Hamakua Coast at times.
Trick or treaters can expect passing showers, especially over windward and mauka communities, and at times, these showers may spill over to the leeward side throughout the evening into the overnight hours. Drier conditions are due on Sunday.
A High Surf Advisory has been issued for all east-facing shorelines. It was triggered by the combination of a moderate north swell and stronger trade winds.
