Sean "Olanui" Robbins is a Puna, Hawai?i raised triple-threat talent and is quickly earning a reputation as a ki ho?alu (slack-key) rising star and a haku mele (Hawaiian songwriter).
The 20-year old local boy is the protégé of slack key master and legendary musician, Cyril Pahinui.
At age 16, Sean had the honor of performing on National Public Radio's program, “From the Top,” and was bestowed the coveted “Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award” out of hundreds of students.
His unique style of progressive slack key art will be showcased on his self-titled album, "Olanui," which will be released in November 2014. The album is being produced by Cyril Pahinui and engineered by DJ Pratt (of Kalapana fame).
Robbins first self-titled album "Olanui" is set to be released on November 22. You can catch him performing at his official album launch party on November 22 at Kani Ka Pila Grill at the Outrigger Reef Hotel. The event is open to public from 6 -9 pm.
