Honolulu Police are trying to determine why a driver slammed into the back of city bus on Farrington Highway near Ko Olina.
It happened Wednesday about 12:30 in the afternoon. The bus was stopping to pick up a passenger when the 43-year old driver of a Mazda pickup rear ended it. Police say the man never hit the brakes.
An 8-year old on the bus had minor injuries.
Police say the man wasn't speeding, he just never slowed. They are working to determine if he was distracted or had a medical emergency.
Traffic in the westbound direction was contra-flowed for several hours while police worked the scene.
