Hundreds of people gathered on Saturday to honor the memory of a master feather lei maker.
The memorial service for Paulette Kahalepuna took place at the chapel at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama campus.
The 69-year-old spent decades teaching others the ancient Hawaiian art of feather lei making.
Many of the mourners wore lei that she helped them to create or taught them to make.
Kahalepuna taught feather lei making workshops around the world and also opened a shop on Oahu, providing supplies and classes.
She lost her battle to cancer last month, and family members say she will be dearly missed.
