HONOLULU (AP) - A 34-year-old man Big Island man suspected of slashing two 22-year-old Waikoloa women in a parking lot knife fight Sunday is being held on $500,000 bail.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports Aaron Nakamoto is charged with attempted murder, felony assault and disorderly conduct.
Hawaii County police found Nakamoto at his home with face and leg injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to North Hawaii Community Hospital. When he was released early Monday, he was arrested on suspicion of assault.
Authorities say the fight occurred in the Waikoloa Highlands Center parking lot.
One woman suffered a cut to her arm and a chest wound. Another woman suffered cuts to her face, throat and neck. They were treated and released from a hospital.
Police are investigating Nakamoto's injuries as another possible assault.
