Sacred Hearts Academy Names Outstanding Alumnae

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Sacred Hearts Academy's Annual Scholarship Fund Gala will be held October 17 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The Gala has raised $1.5 million for student scholarships over the past 18 years to benefit Sacred Hearts students.  This year they will be honoring 6 of their alumnae.

One of the honorees, Faith Rivera,is an Emmy-award winning composer who owns her own record label and publishing company, Lil' Girl Creations. Her music has been featured on television shows Hawaii 5-0, ER, and Scrubs, and she has performed with Luther Vandross and Neil Young.

Rivera volunteers as the entertainment coordinator for the annual Women's Festival of Arts, Long Beach, California; serves as the Los Angeles Chapter coordinator for the worldwide songwriting organization, Just Plain Folks; and is the coordinator for music and performing arts for the U.S. Humanity's Team, an international grassroots movement for positive change.
