Local Woman Gets Out of $600,000 Debt after Living in a Yurt
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Jen McGeehan and her family lived on the mainland and had compiled nearly $600,000 in debt. She and her family turned their lives around after moving to the Big Island of Hawaii and living a year in a yurt.
A yurt is considered affordable housing and from the outside looks like a souped up tent. But as Jen explains, her yurt had all the amenities any other basic dwelling would have. While living in the yurt, Jen and her family were humbled, learned to get back to nature and most importantly got out of debt..
From her experiences Jen wrote a book titled "My Year in a Yurt: God's Blessings While Living in 415 Not So Square Feet." Visit www.amazon.com to buy the book and to find out more about Jen and her time in the yurt visit www.jenmcgeehan.tateauthor.com
