Salvation Army seeks Honolulu warehouse space

HONOLULU (AP) - The Salvation Army is seeking donated warehouse space near downtown Honolulu for the organization's holiday gift drive.

Approximately 6,000 square feet is needed to help sort and distribute the donated gifts between Nov. 23 and Dec. 31.

A location needs to be secured near the Salvation Army's Vineyard Boulevard community center by the end of this month.

The Salvation Army says ideally the location would be near a bus stop.

The donation of warehouse space would be considered a gift-in-kind for tax deduction purposes.
