KAILUA-KONA, HAWAII (HawaiiNewsNow) - FBI agent Ed Ignacio crossed the finish line at the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona on Saturday with a time of 16 hours and 35 minutes. He wore nearly 40 pounds of tactical gear during the last leg, the 26.2 mile run.
Ignacio's campaign to raise money for a memorial honoring Hawaii's 63 fallen law enforcement officers has brought in about $11,000. He also completed five other triathlons as part of his fundraising effort.
