Rescue crews found the body of a man who appears to have been swept into the ocean near Hanauma Bay.
Just before 1 p.m. Friday, a hiker discovered items belonging to a 34-year-old man near an area known as 'rock bridge'. Honolulu Firefighters along with water safety crews on jet skis searched the water and confirmed to Hawaii News Now that they found the body of a man in his 30s around 2:45 p.m.
Officials say the items on shore indicate he may have been hiking with a female before running into trouble. Divers are in the area assisting with the search for a possible second person.
Hawaii News Now has a crew at the scene and will provide more details as they become available.
