UH suffers second straight loss, falls to Rice, 28-14

The University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors had a touchdown lead in the second half, but it wasn't enough to hold off a big-play offensive attack from Rice as the Owls defeated UH, 28-14, on Saturday in Houston.

Rice took the lead after Darik Dillard scored from four yards out with 4:18 left in the game and would hold on to improve to 2-3 and drop Hawaii to 1-4.

UH quarterback Ikaika Woolsey threw two touchdown passes to Scott Harding, but was sacked seven times.

It's the 15th straight road loss for the 'Bows.

Hawaii returns home next week for the start of conference play and will host Wyoming.

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
