Pit bull attack hospitalizes two people

WAHIAWA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A pit bull named Kinau was taken by the Hawaiian Humane Society after it attacked two people in Wahiawa Thursday night.

The 56-year-old woman and 64-year-old man were taken to the Queen's Medical Center in serious condition with bite wounds to the head and neck.

It happened near Hoihoi Avenue at the district park.

It's unclear what happened to the dog after the Hawaiian Humane Society picked it up. A spokesperson told Hawaii News Now an update could be expected Friday afternoon, but we did not get one.
