HONOLULU (AP) - A woman charged with second-degree attempted murder has been ordered to receive treatment at Hawaii State Hospital.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports 30-year-old Jill Hansen was found unfit for trial Thursday by state Circuit Judge Richard Perkins.
He made the decision based on evaluations by three doctors.
Perkins ordered Hansen to be sent to the psychiatric hospital for three months. She will be reviewed in December.
Prosecutors say Hansen tried to kill a 73-year-old woman in a Waikiki apartment parking garage by striking her with her car.
Police say she struck Elizabeth Conklin once and tried a second time but couldn't reach Conklin because she was wedged under a parked vehicle.
Hansen is also charged with using a surfboard to assault a man April 18.
