HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The upcoming Diamond Head Classic features four teams that made it to last season's NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, making it one of the most competitive tournaments Hawaii will play in this year.
Tickets went on sale this week, but, with a looming NCAA investigation putting the future of the program and head coach in question, how many seats can we expect to see sold?
Gib Arnold's new contract is still unresolved and unsigned.
The offer sheet that originally featured a three-year extension was sent back to athletics director Ben Jay last month after the firing of former chancellor Tom Apple.
Apple was the one charged with approving the deal, but with the transition, it was sent back to Jay and currently being re-worked.
Jay wouldn't say if it's being re-drafted because of the current NCAA inquiry.
Arnold's attorney has declined comment.
