A woman driving a van wound up in a ditch late Saturday night in Kalama Valley.
Witnesses told police that she clipped a truck, then slammed into a fence after failing to stop at the intersection of Hawaii Kai Drive and Kealahou Street.
The other driver involved in the collision, Kenta Saito, said he was heading home with his fiancee.
"There was another witness that was driving and he went into the ditch to make sure she was okay, and I followed him in afterwards. She looked okay, but she was kind of holding her chest so I don't know what kind of injuries she had," said Saito.
"I thank the lord that we're okay - me and my fiancee. We didn't get T-boned, we just got clipped."
Officials said the victim was conscious after the collision, and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Authorities said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
