HAIKU, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Five people were displaced Saturday in a massive blaze which gutted a Maui home.
Crews were called around 2:30 p.m. to a gulch on Hahana Rd. where a 20' x 20' structure was fully engulfed in flames.
The home in the Haiku area was totally destroyed by the fire with more than $100,000 in damages.
The blaze was brought under control at 3:30 p.m. and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Red Cross is assisting the family -- two adults and three children -- who were displaced by the fire.
