300 Nurses Needed to Administer Flu Shots

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

300 nurses are needed statewide to administer flu shots to children in the Hawaii school system. Altres Medical has been contracted for the fifth year in a row to provide the shots and here on Sunrise to discus his company's need for nurses is the President of Altres Medical, Kerry Kopp.

Kerry says the Big Island of Hawaii is in the greatest need of hiring. Many nurses who already provide their services elsewhere take up the new vaccination responsibility if their schedule allows.

This years vaccination period runs from early November through the third week of December. If you are a nurse or know of one who would like to offer their services this flu season, visit Altres Medical's website www.altresmedical.com or give them a call at 591-4960.
