AIEA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 46-year-old Honolulu man is dead after an early morning motorcycle collision in Aiea Sunday.
Official say the victim was traveling east on Kamehameha Highway near Arizona Street around 1:30 a.m., when he allegedly lost control of his motorcycle, collided into a metal guard rail and was ejected from his seat. The victim sustained major injuries to his lower torso, according to police officials.
Federal fire officials transported the victim to Queens Hospital in extremely critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
Officials say speed may have been a factor, however, it is unknown if alcohol was also a factor.
The investigation is ongoing.
